Stanley Park Vancouver

Autumn in Stanley Park, Vancouver

Stanley Park Vancouver is one one the largest urban parks in North America. It is a green oasis, and favourite leisure area for Vancouverites, situated within a short distance away from the busy downtown metropolitan area of Vancouver -- one of the largest cities in Canada.

Here is the inscription on the statue of Lord Stanley, near the entrance to the park:

"To the use and enjoyment of peoples of all colours, creeds, and customs, for all time, I name thee Stanley Park."
Lord Stanley, October 29, 1899

Vancouver's Seawall

One of the main attractions in Stanley Park is the seawall itself. Many locals use it regularly for fitness training and casual jogging.

Don't forget to take a break and relax at some of the many Stanley Park benches, to enjoy the view along the seawall, and watch the passersby. Some of the benches were donated by appreciative Vancouver residents, and in memory of departed relatives who also had the pleasure of enjoying the natural surroundings of Stanley Park.
