Travelling to Vancouver...
Enjoy the Journey!

For travelling to Vancouver, there are many alternatives available... Sometimes the journey can be an exciting vacation on it's own, especially if you use one of the luxury train or cruise liner services available!

By Air

For air travel to Vancouver, fly to the Vancouver International Airport (airport code YVR), or to Abbotsford International.

For Vehicles

By road, go through one of the BC border crossings at:

  • Pacific Highway Crossing: Blaine, Washington to Surrey, BC
  • Douglas (Peace Arch Crossing): Blaine, Washington to Surrey, BC
  • Boundary Bay: Point Roberts, Washington to Delta, BC
  • Huntingdon: Sumas, Washington to Huntingdon, BC

Check out the Canadian Border Services Agency (goverment site) for up to date information about the wait times, and any delays, at the borders. This Borderlineups site also has webcams of the border traffic.

Bus Services To Vancouver

Quick Shuttle

There's a regular bus shuttle service running between Seattle and Vancouver, called the Quick Shuttle. There are scheduled stops at several Vancouver hotels, and the cruise ship terminal as well.

Greyhound Bus Services

Greyhound Bus going from Calgary to Vancouver

Check our Greyhound to Vancouver page for information about the Greyhound line's bus service, and Greyhound travel tips page.

Here's the Greyhound Canada site for departures within Canada, and the Greyhound.com site, if you want to use the service from the United States.

The main Greyhound Bus Terminal is at Pacific Central Station, near the Main Street Science World skytrain station, and Science World.

By Train

Via Rail offers train travel from across Canada, to Vancouver.

For international train travel, from the United States into Canada, Amtrak offers the scenic Amtrak Cascades service. It's the Northwest train route, running between Eugene, Oregon, and Vancouver, BC.

Cruises

In the summer months, there's also the popular cruise line services, like Holland America Line, and Princess Cruises, which berth regularly in Vancouver. Enjoy your stay in Vancouver, before or after a cruise!

Ferries

The BC Ferries coastal ferry service offers regularly scheduled passenger and vehicle services between Vancouver, Vancouver Island, the Gulf Islands and other parts of coastal British Columbia.

Those are the main options for travelling to Vancouver. Contact us if you have questions or comments.
